In response
Editor: A letter from Robert Boyce was published in the Mountain Echo this week,  Notice that Boyce does not mention that the election committee is the conflict of interest and an ethics complaint has been filed against them.  The Election Committee will not certify because their family got voted out and they want an unwarranted new election.  Boyce also incorrectly refers to our Constitution and Election Ordinance.  A proper communication would include the policy he is incorrectly referring to.  I am also glad that Boyce mentioned his illegal unnoticed meeting on 8-31-07.  Article XI Meetings, of the pit river tribal constitution requires 24 hours notice of any meeting to all Council members.  Also if Boyce actually read our election ordinance then he would know that it is the Election Chairperson's responsibility to certify the Council results as final (Article V Band Elections, section 503) and this is what the Election Chairperson did in her report of election to the Bureau of Indian Affairs on 8/31/07.
